Sharp007
Folks, Quick couple of questions. Is my computer up to scratch and able to give better quality output than what I have achieved currently (see attached sample of my work(go easy as im new to vray and max)). My CPU is P4 3.60GHz, primary + secondary 128MB ATI Radeon X600 SE, 2 GB RAM. Generally I model in AutoCAD, import to MAX and render using Vray. Simple. All my rendering is of an architectural basis and I finish by tarting up my views in Photoshop. I seem to find internal scenes slightly easier to rennder to a more realistic image but teh exteriors always seem a little flat. Coments would be very welcome. kippu
in your computer department . i would say you are 3 generations behind , theres a dual core , quad core and now the i7 way way ahead of the p4 that you have ,but then all it does it take more time to do your renderings and you are limited by the number of objects that you can have in your scene regarding your sample, it looks okay for a work in progress , but if you consider that as a finished work then there are some more things to be done in that scene
Sharp007
Thanks for the advice regardign the computer. With regard to the scene, I intended to apply HDRI sky to the scene and work a little more on the photoshop side by adding more shadows etc. Was there more you feel I should be doing in Max prior to the touch up work being done? If so, suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks,
kippu
you should be working more on the glass material , some props to get some life , and why do you prefer the verticals not straight in such a small building ?
Sharp007
I do intend on addign some props however I wanted to get the basics with regard to the buildign done first. I was hoping using an HDRI sky would help the glass effect adding some nice relections in addition, I have been developing a slightly better texture for the white render making it less flat looking. What exactly did you mean regarding "verticals not straight " ?
