3danim8d
Hi, I have a question, I have a bunch of FormZ files I made on a Mac many many years ago with FormZ version 1.something or maybe even pre 1.0 (our university was a beta site). Anyway, I recently found my Mac floppies and was able to move the files on an old mac to a PC Zip drive and now have the files on my PC at home. My question is, is there a way to get these files into 3D Studio Max? They aren't great, but I'd really like to be able to open them up and see what I did so long ago and compare it with what I do now. Does the downloadable demo allow you to export models in DWG or 3DS format? Thanks, Jeff
bigcahunak
The demo won't let you save at all. How many do you have? wouldn't mind convert a few of them for ya. Regards.
3danim8d
hi bigcahunak, There are 13 files total, 4 are .bak files. Two I'm not sure if they are formZ or not, they may be the 2D format from FormZ becuase the header is slightly different and indicates that they are C2D files. If you could convert them to .DWG or .3DS files for me that would be awesome. The files are nothing special, just a two week project with FormZ but I'm curious to see what kind of a mess of things I made back then. bigcahunak
Hi again, No probs. Email me, or if they are big, just upload them somewhere and email me links. Best way is email me first and we'll go from there.

3danim8d
Thanks, Bigcahunak converted the files for me. Wow, sometimes looking back at your really really old experimentations can be a humorous thing. Helps keep one humble too...
