sdds
just a quick question for you all. When rendering a vray animation on our renderfarm we get 30 to 45mins count for the first frame on each node for light cache prefiltering. Is this just a consequence of large scene files, i've always wondered what causes this. thanks
LukeC
It might have something to do with the time it takes to load assets for each node the first time around.
sameerainterior
reduce the subdivisi to
sdds
the subdivs are at 500 for the light cache. I think your right luke, it's a server speed thing.
subburb
take a look at vray log, but when render freezes on Lc prefiltering, that because of sending irradiance map files on all slaves... it's a pain, but you can deploy the irrmap files manually on each slaves via a sync folder program. Like this your render won't freeze at render time, due to a network bandwith overload
