borisram
Hi everybody I've noticed that vray 1.5 sp2 is slower than the past versions, but it gets worst when i try to render animations, so I tried to figure it out by making some test and I discovered that the render time for an specific frame increases every time I render it. Specificaly.. the first time, just after the scene has been opened, it takes 23 secs to render. When I try to render the same frame with the same settings again, it takes about 35 secs to render. And whe i hit render again, it takes 58 secs... the sixth time, takes about 2 minutes rendering the same frame. Does anybody have an idea of what is happening with my vray... or is any kind of known problem???? Please help!!! I use 3ds max 2009, windows xp 32 and 64 bit Sorry about my english! Tommy L
Is it scene specific? Or does it happen on every scene?
braddewald
Sounds like it is probably an issue with your RAM. I cannot speak for sure on the matter, but I agree with Jkrock3d: restart your system after each render and check the timeline then. If it seems to be the same render time after restarts, I would start thinking about some kind of RAM-cleaning software.
borisram
SOLVED!!!... it was a temperature problem. My q6600 was reaching 80C degrees. So i had to remove some dust on the cooler and now is working better than ever... Thanks for your answers!!
SunGlare
Hah. I wish all problems could end this way. "there is too much noise in my render!" - dust of your hard drive and your good to go! That was a good one. Thanks
