erickdt
Are you using gamma correction via. customize>preferences>gamma and LUT? If so, that could be your problem if it's not set to affect input and output.
Crazy Homeless Guy
I have been having problems with matching colours using RGB eg i have a logo using R 0 G 0.34 B 0 when i input that in the material editor its the totally different colour. thanks Off hand, I am guessing it is a gamma problem. You can try a quick correction by placing a Color Correct shader in the diffuse slot, then assigning the color green color to the map area as I have shown in the attachment. The key in either .454, or 2.2 depending on which direction the gamma is off, and what gamma you are using. Hopefully that help.
craigball
its not the gamma, at work we got a logo with the color and the RGB numbers and when i inputed the same figurs in each of the R G B slots the colour was miles diffrent eg was ment to be green and it comes out red? but in PS it works every time ? thnkr
If it works in PS then you're likely working in a color space. Maya doesn't do this. RGB values in PS are not absolute; the same color has different values in sRGB and Adobe RGB spaces. For compatibility with Maya, try using the Monitor RGB profile or turn Color Management off. You can do this in Edit > Color Settings.
Crazy Homeless Guy
Maybe try creating a color swatch in PS, and then applying it as a bitmap in the diffuse channel of your material.
