jucaro
I've finally decided that I'll be using Turntool's VR system through its turnkey licensing options. And with this, I'm thinking of recomputing the price estimates. How does one make an estimate for an interactive VR rendering? Does anybody have a suggestion? I'm stuck wondering how? I'll be presenting the VR Walkthru packaged in a cdrom using VisualBasic+DirectX as a frontend interface rather than just vanilla HTML Though I've been coding in VB for quite a few years, this will be the first time that I'll be programming for a client. And BTW, am I in violation of MS VB's licensing by using our company's IT Department's computers where VB is installed? You can't violate Microsoft's license agreement unless you're producing copies of Visual Basic and reselling them. The license agreement protects the software, not what you produce using the software. If you use Word to write a book, do you think you owe Microsoft a cut of the royalty income? Of course not! Whatever you author by using ANY application is your intellectual property (unless you're doing it for your employer, in which case, they own it because it's considered "work for hire"). Software is just another tool. If you build a house with Stanley tools, Stanley doesn't own your house, do they?
