Rendering plug-ins

Electric Image is already very compatible with Form Z, but I feel that I can produce images of a higher standard in Form Z at the moment.

I'm thinking more of renderers with GOOD radiosity and features like Global Illumination, HDRI support, photon mapping, etc.

I just think I've taken Form Z renderzone as photoreal as it will get, and I get just a little bit jealous when I see some of the beautiful work posted on this and other forums using programs such as V ray.

It's gonna be quite a while before I can afford a copy of Max. orangecry

I know Pete Higgins very well and have worked on a couple of projects for him in the past. He seems to be quite happy using a mixture of Form Z and Electric Image.

Auto Des Sys' (Form Z creators) say that they have no say in who develops plug ins for them........ guess I'll just have to harass Cebas, Splutterfish, Chaotic Dimension, etc.

i remember a thread on formz bb (several months ago) where their web tech said they contacted the major players in the rendering engine market, and exchanged info (whatever that means) about formz supporting plug-ins. they were careful not to elude to whether any of the render engine companies were interested in developing for formz. if memory serves (and it occasionally does), chaod groups' (vray) web site said coming soon for maya, but did not mention any other apps.

i know what you are saying about feeling inferior to other renderer's when comparing formz's stripped down lightworks engine to vray.
