sygboe
hi, i have just made this render for a modualr floor system. it's for promo material. i'm finding it quite hard to make it look interesting. the floor isnt very reflective so it'shard tomake it look dynamic. has anyone got any lighting/camera suggestions for me please? it was done in max/vray. with hrdi lighting plus a vray light and a couple of omni's. PuffinViz
mmm well it needs a white background for a start, the current one is distracting and hazey. Also the viewpoint doesnt do it any favours, try focusing in on the wood itself with a high res texture, show the beauty of the material itself. Perhaps you could do a very simple neutral scene with a window and a designer chair that gives the floor more scale and context?
SandmanNinja
Look at print ads for Floor Wax and other similar products. Put SOME other objects in the scene - a chair or a potted plant in the corner. If doing an animation, consider having a ball bounce into and then out of the shot (with motion blur). Might even make a good still. "Steelron Floors - so good everything bounces off of it!"
