if you lost the button you can always right click in the viewport and select "unhide all"

 

can't find any lines in the .ini file that hold it's position, so I'm not sure how to reset it other than resetting all of max.

 

perhaps it's just offscreen and you can use a tool like snapwindows.exe to get it back?

I didn't want to do that because I had many things turned off before I isolated the object that I don't want to have to locate and turn back off. The problem is that the computer I'm using once had a dual monitor setup, for what ever reason Max or Windows likes to locate certain windows off the monitor space in the phantom zone.

Awesome Brian that did the trick, where did you find that program?

 

I didn't travis did.... ask him :rolleyes:

 

BTW... that little program is really great for when you're home at night remote logging into your work computer to check on renderings through a VPN, and you left the backburner monitor, or some 3dsmax toolbar on your secondary monitor.
