BrianKitts
You need the rigged models, not just the 3d models (they sell both) If you have the rigged models, there is a full how-to instruction guide that comes with the product.

SandmanNinja
RTM or RTFM? lol Perhaps a call to tech support would help. When they tell you the answer, please share it. It'll be great to hear it.

Dave Buckley
do a search for free mocap data on the web, there ar thousands of free clips, also don't forget the free samples that ship with max. if possible, then use motionbuilder, its designed for exactly what you want and is really easy to use. if not then here's a basic workflow. with your rigged model you need to press h to open your select by name dialog, then you wanna select te base object of the biped (ending Bip01 in most cases) with this selected only, go to your motion tab of the command panel. from here you should be able to enter motion flow mode (it's next to the t-pose icon and the footsteps icon) when in motion flow, you need to click the show graph icon. in here you can load various .bip files using the load multiple clips icon when your clips are loaded in, you need to click the define script icon on the command panel. this then allows you to select the clips (in your graph) in the order that you want them to be applied to your character. this will then generate footsteps according to the bip files. press play. there may be some discrepency in what i have just outlined (telling you from memory at the minute) but this should give you the basic idea hope it helps
Stephen Thomas
Max can also convert .BVH files, though I've had trouble doing it in the past. Select the base object of your biped then under the motion tab go to the 'motion capture' rollout and you will find a 'batch file conversion' button. This should allow you to convert .BVH and .CSM files to .BIP.

WL500GP
i'd try and save the skin data(physique or whatever it's using), perhaps also save the biped configuration(number of toes etc etc), then detatch the mesh from the biped(delete the "skin" modifier in other words), scale the mesh to your needs, apply a reset xform to it afterwards, scale up your biped so it fits your mesh, reapply the physique modifier, load your saved physique/skin data if that doesn't work, i'd reskin it with the skin modifier instead of the physique(physique has always had a fair amount of suckage to it imho...) Cheers, k.
