Hector
Hello: What do you think about what has been said of Lightwave 8? I haven't been able to find a detailed description of the new features. Information available is very vague and seems to be related to character animation. Only the "interface and workflow anhacements" sounds useful for the particular needs of architectural visualization, but I might be wrong. What are those improvements?. Will it justify the 500$ upgrade for us?. any idea? Hector
ingemar
well, it seems what newtek was showing at siggraph is only a (small?) preview of LW8. I saw parts of the live stream and they only showed animation oriented features. Some improvements to modelling and rendering will probably be announced later, but according to the forums at newteks site we should't expect too much. (the heated debate over there might change their minds, who knows?). not too much for architects so far... but modo from luxology and messiah: studio sounds like a nice combination (maybe even without LW...?) ingemar
dwright
For what I saw, I can’t say much, I will wait to get it and later give my opinion. As I said in the past, I do not expect much from this update. Most of the new “improvements” are focused on character animation.
