ABK
Hi everyone, Hope everyone is having a good day. It's raining here is manchester and I'm struggling with explaining this problem. Hope it makes sense. I am having problems re-linking texture maps after my texture files are moved from my 'live' folder to my archive. Texture map paths changes from something like: \Current Projects\*****\Textures\wood to: \archive\*****\Textures\wood Now, as the textures folder is often full of many sub folders it is rather tiresome relinking all the textures in one sub folder, then the next, then the next, etc. (i'm using the 'bitmap/photometric path editor'). This seems silly as only the begining of the file path has changed. What I guess i'd like to do is instruct max exactly this. Any ideas round this anyone? wasteland giant
asset tracking. File paths. Link to where they ought to be (subfolders are automatically added I think - but there is an option to add all subfolders). And once you do that... it should work. Jan
You can try with my "change paths" script. Download from: http://www.motivacg.com/descargas_en.php Regards
acjwalker
Ignore everyone else do it this way http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/relink-bitmaps I highly recommend it, it is so quick and its free. Saves so much time, never takes longer than 30 seconds to do all missing maps and it also does Vray Proxies!
