sygboe Posted September 18, 2009 Share Posted September 18, 2009 Hi, I'm lighting a scene with an HDRI and a few other lights. see attached pic. I want the HDRI floor to receive shadows and any reflections you might get from the floor. DanGrover Posted September 18, 2009 Share Posted September 18, 2009 I'm not sure if the built in Matte/Shadow material will work (I know it does sort of vaguely work with MR, but MR now has its own one within Max). If not, VRay must have its own equivalent. It's designed to do just what you want - to "capture" shadows without showing its own diffuse. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
