Jeff Mottle
I just wanted to create a new thread outlining some of the reviews that are planned for the site in the coming months. No firm publish dates have been set up, but I'll try to nail that down soon. 1. Video Card Round UP 2. 3D Connexion Space Pilot Pro 3. Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 Design Viz Feature Review 4. Elgato Turbo.264 HD 5. 3DATS Advanced Expert Book 6. SIGGRAPH 2009 Review 7. 2009 CGarchitect Industry Report Analysis 8. First Visualization Economic Indicator Analysis 9. NVIDIA GPU Conference Review 10. XRITE Color Munki 11. MachStudio by StudioGPU 12. Autodesk University 2009 That should keep me busy for the foreseeable future, but feel free to post anything else you would like to see and if you would be interested in writing the review. Generally we are able to get you free hardware or software for the review to keep. Edited April 3, 2011 by Jeff Mottle
ihabkal
Hi Jeff, Don't forget the 3dsmax plugins, there are a few that are indispensable for our work yet they don't get a lot of coverage. you could make it a weekly, every week a plugin. amer abidi
a review on 3D Monitors maybe? But i think what most importantly needs to come back Jeff are the CGA competitions and AVC awards. I realize they're a lot of work to plan/carry out/monitor/etc..; but I think there's a lot in them for CGA as well as its members. Tommy L
3. Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 Design Viz Feature Review Hello hello, shouldnt that one be a link by now? Elgato Turbo.264 HD Any news on that? I think the grumbles about QT H.264 being problematic and the QT support from Apple being less than stellar should be spurring industry peeps on to investigate other options....its a huge subject. If there are any volunteers who want to help, please start a new thread with your interest.

Thanks, I updated that link. I'll try to get to the Elgato soon. Been slammed with the server migration that happened this weekend and our pending store, which should launch in the next 2-3 days. 5 months of work and about 300 hours in the last 2 weeks..I am exhausted.
