cloth simulation?

create bed, create plane above bed, increase segs, add cloth modifier, choose type of cloth, add bed/floor to simulation, make bed a collision object, run simulation, stop simulation when cloth looks pleasing, and shell, and turbosmooth, add edit poly modifier, manipulate with soft selection? paint deformation? graphite tools?, add material

something along those lines anyway?

sorry for rough and ready explanation, snowed under in work but thought i'd share my thoughts. i had a bedroom post on here somewhere that i used the above technique in

fair enough, each to their own, it is a bit strange as i can't seem to ge the cloth to do what i want recently but other days it just 'falls into place'

the image attached is the one i used cloth for (it has been posted in another thread somewhere here) sorry for the watermarks, just taken it from the site it was made for

really nice modelling on that duvet dave.

i wouldnt touch splines for modelling cloth when garment maker / cloth modifier can give you such good results straight away.
