WAcky
These types of things really make my head hurt trying to fathom the engineeing times and costs involved...
AJLynn
Engineering costs? This is no place to be practical!
rmccoy
As interesting as that building is, I actually hate that design. It's just a box with undulating floor plates. Looks like you could throw a noise or ripple type modifier onto a box to come up with that design. It just doesn't seem to have much thought put into. I think architects like Santiago Calatrava and Richard Meier are creating some of the most beautiful buildings currently.
WAcky
I think a photo from further away would be better. It's hard to see whats going on from such a steep angle. It looks to me like the building has a watery inner core with the ripples dipping in and out of the water. I like the idea but I think the general form/shape of the building could be a bit more inspired.
wasteland giant
well, as a built form, that fact that the external floor plates breaks up the building form and permits usable external spaces is pretty good (imo). High level balconies like that without it being completely locked in by high level glazing to prevent people from falling is sort of wild. I wonder what the building code/rules are over there. Well, I rather this than another fullyglazed glass tower.
