Looks to be that the HDRI is doing it's job OK.

If I look at the material editor, the 3/4 of the HDR is black, so your windows are reflecting black.

What is the map in the reflection slot of the glass.. (should not be any map over there, unless you are using a fresnel map)

Basic glass:

Diffuse: black or really dark green/blue color

Reflect: nearly pure white - Fresnel, on the right, ticked at 1.6

reflections: 1.0, unless it is sandblasted or other kind of glass

Refract: nearly white, something like 245,245,245, so it does show a little of the diffuse color if you want a greenish/bluish effect.

Teh standard subdivisions, 8, should be ok for glass. You can increase theses for broken glossy material such as brushed metals and leathers, but for glass, 8 is enough.

Yea i think you have got it in one, I think your right about the fact the HDR image is 3/4 black. It was one I have downloaded for free as I am planning to take my own one the weather over here in the UK sorts its self out, to over cast at the minute for the kind of HDR image I want to use.

Also it was a Fresnel map i was using in the glass material.

Once i get a HDR map sorted ill repost the results and see if the issue is solved,.

Thanks

A tip :

Only increasing the Maxsubdivs in the Vray Adaptive rQMC sampler rollout, which is just below the Vray Indirect Illumination(GI) rollout, would not make much of a difference.

I would suggest you to increase minsubdivs to 2 or 3 and decrease maxsubdivs to 4 or 5.

Cheers!
