Framing a Window

I recently picked up "101 Things I wished I learned in Architect School" (or words to that effect) and one of them talked about framing a view from a window.

They suggested instead of a wall of glass, rather have a largish window with accessories that drove focus to the window (and thus the view).

I've photographed a lot of modern houses and apartments and most have a huge wall of glass with a spectacular view.
