Vray Bump Map and HDRI Lighting Help

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you could please advise me on this issue.

Basically I am rendering in Rhino 4 via Vray 1.5. I have chosen a HDRI image for my environment lighting while also having GI checked.

The problem is that all my material's bump maps disappear

Now I know that essentially bump maps needs a directional light to be in place as it is essentially a faked effect. My question is that how can I get the bump maps to work under my current lighting setup? Do I really have to resort to pointing a directional light into my scene?

Please refer to the attached image and notice how the stone texture is very flat.

Also in Max it is possible to map a HDRI image to a Vray Dome Light - something I have yet to work out how to achieve in Rhino. Does anyone know if that's possible in Rhino?

Cheers,

Robbo
