jinsley
This morning I was sitting at my desk drinking my coffee and I received an email from one of the principles that he would like to purchase 3ds Max 2010 for me... This completely caught me off guard. Not only because of who it came from (I wouldn't be surprised to see this person with a t-square on his monitor drawing lines in CAD... ), but also because, never once, has anyone at my current office ever offered to purchase anything for 3d visualization purposes without me having to argue and claw my way through the process. I am extremely happy that he has made this offer, but now I question whether or not we really need to make that purchase. I am currently using 2009 design and I am pretty happy with it. My question is: Are the features/ toolset in 2010 that much stronger to justify this upgrade? And also... how is the purchasing of software/ hardware usually handled in your firm? Is it as much of a struggle as it is for me? I wouldn't mind a little insight or tips on to how to improve the process...
