Cad64
Welcome Fuzzybear. Are you making a 3D model of a stained glass window or a 2D drawing of one?

Cad64
Ok, so where are you getting stuck? Here's a tutorial on how to create a stained glass window. It was written for 3DS Max, but the same technique can be applied to ACAD. Just draw out your pattern with Polylines and then Extude or Press/Pull the shapes to create Solids. http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/3ds/stained_glass/

Fuzzybear
I think I'm going in the right direction for the 3d stained glass window. 1) I first drew a 2d single line window in the shape I wanted with a frame around it. 2) I then offset each line in the field by 1/8" on both sides. 1/4" for the frame. 3) With each part having three lines, I deleted the center line of each. 4) Using the pedit com. I made everything a pline. 5) I converted the outer frame and each seperate pline making up the total frame to a mass element 1/4" thick and the glass panes 1/8" then centerd the panes. 6) I placed the panes on a glaz layer then frooze them. 7) With the outer frame being a solid mass, I subtracted each of the remaing segments from the main mass to create the openings for the glaz. 8) With all the layers on I used the edit object display to override the material to doors & window glazing glass. It gives some eight colors to choose from and made the frame a metal. Then I made it into a block. So far It looks good. I just need to adjust the value for transluscent. A long process but it works. If there is a shorter way I would love to use it. Thanks for your help. Fuzzybear.
