kid
I'm working on a joint project with someone using Lightwave and I need to know if Lightwave has a material similar to Max's matte/shadow material. It's used when you need to composite an object and it's shadows onto the environment/background plate. Thanks peoples PS. I'll need to know it's official/proper name and any tricky things with using it, because I'm not sure how proficient this person is with Lightwave. Cheers. ingo
Well normally not But well if its our handsome australian guy. As far as i understand you its some Alpha Channel thingy. In LightWave's texture editor click the advanced tab and there set the Alpha channel for that shadow catching surface to Shadow density. stephen gilbert
yeh lightwave does but it's not a simple use matte material you need to manually also balance the diffuse and luminosity of the material [surface] to blend it into the background in the render...your alpha is okay though and will render out fine. steve g
