Kyle
Just a quick question because I couldn't quite find the answer after searching for a while. Is it possible to use VRay64bit aswell as VRay 32bit in a distributed rendering farm without glitches?
SandmanNinja
I remember this being asked on a forum and I believe the answer was that yes, you can do it, as long as the scene 'fits' in the memory constraints of a 32-bit environment
Kyle
Thanks Joel.
AndyC
Perhaps an obvious comment, but make sure you submit it as 32-bit job from BB. The memory constraint needs to be watched carefully. Keep testing and refining your scene.
Darren Kam
Just as a bit of a warning; we noticed a very slight difference in the way that a 64-bit system renders an image as opposed to a 32-bit system; I didn't think there'd be a difference but when layered in Photoshop and toggled on/off there's a subtle difference. Kyle
Thanks for that word of warning Darren. I had a slight underlying feeling all was not 'okay'. I'll keep my eye on that.
