erickdt
Is there anyway to preimport exported .bat files from the batch render dialogue? Thanks in advance! E
erickdt
Okay, so after reading the MAX help file (which I probably should have read to begin with) I've decided that this method (using .BAT files) will not work for what I'm wanting to do. Instead I'll simply have all of my different views and elevations listed within the batch render dialogue and inidividuals will simply have to check the views they want to batch render. This has brought to light some new wierdness though. The results that I get when I render a single frame via. the render dialogue are different than when I render from the batch render dialogue. Any idea why this might be?
rmccoy
have you checked to make sure you are using the same scene states when rendering? I had that issue once before
erickdt
When I click on that drop down there's nothing listed. I've never used scene states before. Is there something I'm missing?
rmccoy
if you are not using them then this wont affect anything. They allow you use different setups of objects, lighting etc.... with the same file. I mainly used them for changing lighting. I may have a night time, day time, and interior lighting setup within the same file. By using the scene states I could just choose which setup I wanted instead of manually changing the lighting conditions each time.
