batfink82
I'm hoping one of you guys can shed some light on an issue we have been having recently with max files. We have received models from various architects in many formats (.max, .dgn. dwg) etc. After they have been imported into Max the files sizes are initially as I would expect. Then suddenly and without making any real model adjustments the file size leaps massively and the file becomes unusable. The problem is not cured by using garbage collect, or saving selected to a new file. If you try and merge in or xref the 'toxic' file then max will lock up. We have also had a case were a file only containing camera and lights has been corrupted by having an xref to the 'toxic' file. The file size on disk of the camera + lights file shot up to 200mb+ even though it contains no geometry and only a camera and lights. Has anyone else come across such a problem before??
