bluediablito
hello to all i have a quick question i cant figure it out hopping for someone to shine some light this is my question i just created a 3d max scene and i placed different camera through the scene (ex camera 1 (bathroom view) camera 2 (kitchen view) and so on...) i was wondering how can i add different camera to the time line? (meaning how can i put camera 1 on time line as 1 and camera 2 as time line 5 and so on.... so that when i render the scene the animation will switch between camera ( i really want to do this so that i can put all the camera on the time line and render all the camera views individually but one after the other by just clicking render once) another question.........if this is possible will i also have the option to save the zdepth for each frames? thanks in advance
Horhe
First off what rendering engine are you using? (mental ray, vray etc.) What you are looking for is video post inside max. From there you can switch and set up all the cameras, that you would like to render out. What I would suggest is compositing the shots in a post application such as after effects. As for the zdepth, if you are in Vray you have to output the zdepth from the render element tab.
frruger
Animate one camera and its target to the position the cameras you want to render the sequence (Frame one Camera one. Frame two Camera two , ….etc)
bluediablito
sorry for leaving some things out i am running vray i was hoping not to do a animation but to render all still camera view meaning when someone do a still shot of something in 3d max but with different camera sorta like when you render an animation and you only want frame 0,5,10,15... i have different camera angles and i was hoping to put each camera on different frame (ex.... camera 1 -frame0, camera 2 - frame 5, camera3 - frame10... sorry if i confuse any one
BrianKitts
why not just simply the problem and use the batch render dialog? queue up your existing cameras in order and set their output paths...

erickdt
You can do that by selecting VRay ZDepth from the render elements tab under render settings. The batch render will automatically generate the ZDepth images as seperate files per view.
