reptar
Hi, i have an interior scene which has curtains hanging partly infront of the door. I am finding it difficult to produce realistic curtains which show brightness for the areas infront of the window and darker shades for area of curtains not infront of the door. You can only see the brightness and not through the curtains so im guessing transparency is right down. Please see attached part of my scene and the settings from the arch & design shader. Any ideas most welcome or tutorials out there on creating similar shaders. Thanks
nelpiper
Another way would be to apply a SSS fast material. It's more complicated than the A&D material though but the results are great. Good luck

nudawa
use Displacement and map a cloth texture to it with a decent value and there you go !
