ivanjay
Hi all, I have never tried this before but want to learn.... I am creating a CAD layout of a foodservice cafeteria (we are foodservice consultants) for a hospital using arch desktop. As such, the walls/doors/etc. will be in 3D. I can add the service counters and other items in 3D to generate a line drawing perspective. I am thinking for an alternate method of presentation to color renderings which are very time demanding (we do them all of the time). In addition, renderings need all materials I want applied, I really only want to color elements I am looking to bring out as new design pieces.... How would you get started in learning how to apply "color/materials" to the line drawing giving it a hand drawn look. Is there a book out there I can buy or any good resources? Should I use Photoshop or Illustrator or....? Much appreciated!!!
Archiform 3D
Back in those days I used water colour pencils and a paint brush..... Honestly, you may be better off doing that one the old fashioned way.
ihabkal
Piranesi software was made just for that: turning computer rendeirngs into ones that look as if made by traditional methods...
ivanjay
I am going to download the trial and give that software a try. It looks much much easier than using photoshop / illustrator. I would prefer not to draw by hand, to be honest I am just not artistic free hand and operate much better with a computer for some reason... Plus, the editing is much easier. Does that software take linework also, or do I need a true solid model?
