plutozyk
I have seen this metal effect in the picture. It seems light come from the back side and the Highlight is overexposure. How can I make this effect in Vray?
trino
well that reflection come from a very intense ligh source, you will have to play with your light position and intensity to get that reflection and of course you will have to make a metal shader, wich is not difficult, also you can look at the vraymaterials website to look for it. plutozyk
definitely photoshop, save both specular and reflection elements, light post work, linear dodge, done.. Thanks! So there are still some question: How can I save only the production of specular and reflection from Vray? I heard something like "Render Pass". Dose it work? How can I find "Render Pass"? Nic H
read the manual or failing that enable 'render elements' tab in vray settings and add the elements you want. easy.
LuckyST
try using video post in 3d max, with glow etc. (do a google on that) problem is that it doesnt work with VRAy, so you'd have to do it seperately and then combine them in post production. http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/37936-video-post-vray-frame-buffer.html
plutozyk
Thanks a Lot! I'll try it.
LuckyST
and mental ray has some glow shaders. it takes longer to render, but it can be manipulated to give that surreal look to your renderings. the minus side is that you have to learn mental ray it's one of the features I'm hoping the next version of vray might have. (that and a shadder rendered fur... like max/mentalray have.)
