Michael J. Brown
I'm setting up the laptop at my 9-5 job with the same Max settings from my home office desktop and there's one little quirk that I can't get to work. Using the number keys (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5) to activate and deactivate selections (i.e. vertex, edge, border, polygon, element) within the Edit Polygon modifier. Max 2008 has no problem allowing me to use numbers as shortcuts for activating AND deactivating the selections. But Max2009 only lets me activate. It makes me go and click on the selection UI in order to deactivate a selection, and that's just an extra step I really would rather live without - as I do quite a bit of vertex and edge manipulation in my work. How can this be fixed to use the number shortcuts to do both (activate and deactivate)? Is there a toggle somewhere for this? Cad64
I don't know of a setting to enable toggling selection modes on and off, but if you hit the #6 key, it deactivates your current selection mode.
