Either put wide angle shadow mapped spotlights above the surfaces which will reflect light and angle them the way the light would be sent or put point lights with no shadows but falloff applied in the wall/floor cavity. The lights should be the same colour as the reflecting surfaces(or a lighter shade)

Can be quite effective for animations but radiosity is much better and quicker/easier to set up.
