Justin Hunt
I have just gone from two monitors down to one large one, there are a few dialogus boxes that I missed when tranfering them to the one monitor. What is the quickest way to everything back? jhv
SandmanNinja
I had the same problem - even blowing away the 3dsmax.ini file doesn't 'fix' it. I switched to my new i7 so that 'solved' it for me. Just guessing here - maybe resetting the GUI? Changing it, then changing back?
neil poppleton
loading the stabdard gui should fix it, unless you have a modified setup..
Crazy Homeless Guy
I usually enable the window that is missing, say by pressing 8 for environment. Then press Alt, and hit the space bar while it is pressed. Then let up on both and hit the letter "m" once. Now tap the arrow key to the right or left. Or you can try this app.... http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/209360-post5.html Deleting the .ini works, but you also have to reset a few things which is a bit of a hassle. amer abidi
I do it slightly differently, i activate the windown, then press: Alt, left, down, down, Enter. Then move the mouse around (without pressing the buttons), and then press any direction key. The window should pop up locked to your mouse cursor wherever that is. =) Goes to show you the agony i've been through thoughout the years. Justin Hunt
Thanks the script worked, it was the render progress window that was missing so the other methods would pickup the correct window. jhv
