LWanimvita
Greetings; I am presently a student (doing a career change) studying architectural AutoCAD and 3D computer animation and have an interest in creating 3d renderings and walk throughs. I have Lightwave 3d ver 7.0 at home and tried to load a .dxf file of one of my AutoCAD floorplan files into Lightwave modeler. When I did it created a flat polygon of the floor plan without any measurements or lettering. What I was wondering is do you use that polygon as a reference and just build up from it while using the actual AutoCAD floor plan drawing as a separate reference or is there something I'm missing? Also is there a way in Lightwave to have the dimensions open the same as in AutoCAD (if they do)? Any help or info provided would be most appreciated.
