kamikaze
Hi Guys, It's been ages since i've checked here, my rendering skills is in the dark ages. Would be greatly appreciated if you could shine light on my problem....... Please see attached for the image.....my mapping seems to be less pronounced at angles(if i render up close perpendicular to the mapping...the grains come out) and the grains of wood panelling seems to be obscure even at high resolutios. What mat cause this? Color threshold at .05 antialiasing filter: catmull rom irradiance map: very low (raising this didnt help) I hope this as a simple soltion i just overlooked. Thank you very much! WAcky
try turning the blur to 0 for that wood map.
kamikaze
Hi james, I turned the blur to zero and it went to 0.01. I think this is the smallest value? It helped in the mapping. It's more clear now. Thanks for your help! (are all material ID's set to 1.0 blur? as default?) Thanks!
WAcky
Yes .01 is the lowest value you can enter. You can effectively set it to 0 if you set the filtering to none in the "bitmap parameters" rollout. This will also save you memory but will create a pixelated look to your texture. I'm not sure if this is ever really done. Anyone set their filtering to none?
