jinsley
Still working on foliage using the A & D materials... trying to stay away from using SSS. I think my leaves, etc. are is getting better. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, it would be most appreciated. I might re-render with some displacment on the trunks of the trees. C and C please. Thx again. TheAllusionisst
I really like the project, it is a nice piece of architecture, really injoy the depth of the window insets to give it some punch. Probably wrong to mention the asphalt and base grass since they are not what you are asking about, but they are overscaled and jump out way before the trees do. The leaves are a lot lighter than the trees in the background, maybe darken them or bump up the saturation a little so the whole image has more cohesiveness to it? Thx Russel... will fix the asphalt before end of day. Will also take another look at the leaf materials and work on them. Now that I look back at it, they seem a little too fluorescent... grass shouldn't be over scale... most of it is proxies, and I overlayed some reference cubes for when I painted the rain gardens. Will recheck this too though... The architecture is great. I really enjoy working with this particular Architect at the firm... he is always willing to try something new and generally makes my work very, very easy. TheAllusionisst
The grass texture (not proxies) at the bottom left corner under the tree looked like it was the base you used under your proxies and it looked over scaled to me. As always, I could be wrong! LOL

You are not wrong, I had alot of people at the office telling me that my scale was wrong on the rain gardens so I jumped to that conclusion. Sorry. I don't know what it is but I only find it to work really well in certain cases like when the sun is directly behind the trees or slightly off to one side. Goofed around a little last night while watching Revenge of the Fallen... this is what I came up with.
mathes
It's definitely improved. The thing that strikes out at me are the loose leaves on the foreground tree, right side. Maybe just chop a few of those out in post.
