Jeff Mottle
There was a thread recently about architecural CG salaries, but not specfically architects. The link is below. http://www.cgarchitect.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=000130
Christopher Nichols
Let me put it this way... don't do it for the money... you make about as much as a good auto mechanic.

Greg Hess
My auto mechanic probably makes more money then I do. You see what they charge to replace hoses? Geez. And to think, I install dimms for free.
mbr
Try Yahoo salaries, or something like that for more accurate salaries for architects. Very roughly, architects make about $33-38k right out of school. Ridiculous, in my opinion, and that's why I left (that, and the frustration). You can make considerably more in the CG profession with less experience and education, and that is why there are many architects converting (like me).If you want to be an architect, do it for the passion, you, most likely, will never make any money doing it. I would never suggest that anyone become an architect unless they were 110% sure it's what they loved (or you are already wealthy, great profession for those that have money, and wealthy connections). Paul Griger
Hi, Try this: http://www.salaryexpert.com/ this: http://www.salary.com/salary/layoutscripts/sall_display.asp or this: http://stats.bls.gov/oco/ocos038.htm Alot of this is quite likely USA-centric.
