Simple "find" text matching within folder window?

We use numeric prefixed job folders here and sometimes - especially when a project is old - it can be difficult to remember what that folder starts with. Does anyone know of a tool that will do a "find" within an explorer folder window just like a "find" within a web browser? I don't want to do a lengthy search or use something overly heavy like windows live search or google desktop - I already know where to start the search, I just want to do simple string matching to file/folder names at that directory level.

 

For what it's worth - my favorite tool for navigating current job folders quickly is foldergit by Grant Adam (of rpmanager fame). It puts a right click context option in all explorer / open / save dialogs so you can instantly change to bookmarked folders. It's awesome but I'm looking for something else to solve the issue of older jobs.

 

Any suggestions?

a little dos magic maybe? i've got a handy little 'open command prompt here' right click... might help
