alexg
ah... time to buy a new mobile phone. I'm getting more mobile now, and needs checking my emails on the run more often. I am on a cap plan right now, got $350 credit and paying just $49 a month, but always blows up due to the amount of data I need to download. (not spams, but real data from client - pdfs, jpgs, markups, comments etc) BTW, right now I'm using old N95 Nokia suggestions anyone? I just started shopping around and my list are: 1. Blackberry 8900, got that blackberry unlimited push email for extra $20 a mo(saves me some $), an ok camera, and qwerty keyboard. 2. Iphone, especially with the photoshop apps, I can reply or highlight clients markups without having to open a laptop. Again an ok camera, but I actually hate the touchscreen for texting, and no matter how careful, I will lose a stylus. Might need to add a 'data pack' of $10-15 a mo to get 250-500mb access to stop explosive bills. 3. HTC touch pro, a combination of the two, but I don't know much about it except that it's a touchscreen that has normal qwerty keyboard.
Arnold Sher
Hi Alex, I actually have had an experience with all the three phones you mention and for me i phone takes it hands down. Blackberry is just so unuser friendly and you feel like back in astone age. HTC you spend more time rebooting it and taking in to get fixed than actually using. I have an iphone and will never change... It just works... Personal opinion of course but that's just me...
STRAT
i hate doing fiddly stuff like this on a mobile device. it's just a crappy way of working. i think i'd much prefer to take the time, effort, and money to get a mobile broadband note book instead. doing what you want on a phone sounds fine in theory, but isn't really. hopefully Apple will be soon releasing a tablet range. a size in between a notebook and a mobile phone. alexg
Arnold Appreciate the input. Iphone does look good. I might go with it. Strat Agreed on that, tried carrying laptop everywhere (I got the car DC converter so I can plug in and charge on the way) but it is getting too bulky to operate inside car. Sony once release a small laptop the size of PSP, but now replaced with a much bigger one. Too bad.
