dmiko
hello, while using the AEC walltool in max 2009 and vray I often get black blotches in the corners. black blotches in AEC wall corners as GI i use irradiance map and light cache, but it doesnt depend on it I tried it also with other maps. however when i go in wall properties and change generate mapping coordinates it goes away for few reders and then i have to change it again as the blotches reappear. I appears to be some bug in wall geometry as the blotches look as two polygons over each other. but i find the parametric wall and windows very effective tools in 3ds and would hate to give it up after changing generate maping coordinates, bloches dissaper for some time, but com again later best regards, daniel
Nic H
never use the AEC stuff in max, its rubbish and creates weird geometry and mapping. stick to edit poly.
Bruce Hart
I'm no Vray expert, but have you tried the Secondary ray bias option? Set it to 0.01 or something and see if it works. This is a global displacement option that may help with the coplanar faces you are getting at the wall ends. Cheers
