I am playing with splines but since it's somewhat of one continuous strand per side the spline option is getting bugged out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. JonRashid Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 create a sphere and work out how many segments you need. Scale in every alternate row of verts. Then add a slight noise modifier and render as wireframe. jophus14 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Share Posted October 23, 2009 The difficult part is how the wicker wraps around the edge and continues on. I created the lamp with splines by tracing the segments of a sphere but it looked too stiff opposed to how the wicker bends around the edge and has that handcrafted look. Thanks for the suggestion.
