nelpiper
Hi guys. I have a scene with mocaps and I created a vray light that includes just those mocaps. When I render, the whole scene is lit and not just the mocaps. Has anyone having the same problems? Could it be a bug? I'm using MAX 2009 x64 and VRAY 1.5SP2. Thanks. nelpiper
Ok. Imagine a simple scene of a room with no windows and lots of boxes inside. If I stick a vray light in the room and include only some of the boxes, only those boxes I included should render and all the rest should be black. That's what happens with standard lights and it's the effect I want.
tayrona
Ok, I got confused with the "mocap" word, which means motion capture... now, with boxes my imagination feels less frustrated. Vray lights does not work the same as standard lights because light is always bouncing, so I think this is why you can not achieve the effect you are expecting. Try matte options in the vray object properties dialogue or "visible to camera" in the object properties. kid84
try exclude the room/walls instead of include the boxes.
moominjuice
Might sound daft, but did you make sure you unchecked use default lights, or maybe you are loading in GI solution?
