Tim Nelson
I had an idea,...but it doesn't work. Is there any way to use scatter to distribute a light, say just a regular free spot light? As far as I can tell, it doesn't count it as something "scatterable" so won't even let you try. :-( Would particle array or something else work? Justin Hunt
do a search on Master Zap's blog, he has an article and a link to BOBO's script that should do something like this. jhv

But thanks for heading me in the general direction.
Thablanch
When doing any kind of scattering / painting on mesh work, I use primitives ( boxes, spheres) to keep the work process fast. After, you can instance replace the boxes by lights, (or high poly detailled chairs for an opera room.. works with Vray Proxies as well): http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/instance-replace http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/soulburnscriptslister
