3ds London this Wednesday, Wayne Robson and Rockhunter

19:00 Announcements and a chance for anyone to show their latest projects. Asa Movshovitz from Keyframe Studios shared some great work last month; Bring yours along this month!

 

Our first presentation is by Sebastian Burdon, a senior 3d artist at Rockhunter, who'll be showing us some of their recent work. Sebastian is also going to bring along an imp stabbing a snail with a stick, one of over two hundred figures modelled in Max and Mudbox. These were then 3d printed for "The Garden of Unearthly Delights", a Zoetrope by artist Mat Collishaw. The video Sebastian showed me was spectacular!

 

I'm very pleased Wayne Robson from Dash Dot Slash is coming along to make a presentation. Wayne is a sought-after speaker for all things Mudbox, and he'll be demonstrating some environment creation techniques, along with pipeline tricks for Max / Mudbox / Photoshop. Wayne will be using the latest version of Mudwalker to do this, which he'll be making available on the evening.

 

So another strong evening planned, with hopefully more great work you'll be bringing along! We have a great presentation booked for December, so I'm now looking for presenters for 2010, starting Wednesday 4th February, plenty of time to organise something.
