SandmanNinja
Hi Scottie That would be it running as a Service. This link tells you exactly what you need to do. I'd post a copy here, but it's pretty long. http://www.cguu.com/3dsmax/3dsMAX8/backburner/s1-3255905.html And there is a post on another forum where someone says they've made a batch file or script to do it automatically for you. But I have not looked at it nor tested it. http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php/t-408971.html
Chad Warner
You could also just put a shortcut in the start--startup menu.
SandmanNinja
That makes a lot of sense, Chad. Man, these tutorials make it sound so complicated!

Crazy Homeless Guy
I second Chad's recommendation for a shortcut in startup. Unless you have a highly customized setup, it is the fastest and most useful way. When you are running as a service, you can't see the rendering happening. When you run as a startup shortcut, you can see the rendering happening. Which means you can see mistakes that are in the file before it finishes. See your point, but service as some good points as well. But this good to: Use machines without upseting the other users, ( yep, there is a few like that) Be able to read/save to permission restricted drives ( as you can use the service as an other user)
