Cesar R
Hi, guys, its been a long time.. anyway, I was wondering if I model something in acad and then plot an axonometric view can I have ACAD draw the lines for the items being covered by other objects in hidden line? I hope it makes sense... if not let me know... basically I want to be able to plot an axo. view with solid and hidden lines where it applies from one single 3D model with just changing some settings. is it possible? Kerry Thompson
Hi Cesar Try using the AutoCAD command solprof. This will create a 2D block of hidden lines on a seperate layer from the visible edges, which are also stored in another 2D block. Change the setting of the hidden line layer to dashed and turn of the original model layers leaving the dashed hidden lines and continuous visible lines. You may have to explode the profile blocks to get property control. It may only work on ACIS solids?? Have a look in the AutoCAD help for more detail. Hope this helps Regards Kerry Thompson

Cesar R
HI, I am back, I tryed your method. thank you, it really works. the only drawback is that I have to set it for every different angle (view) I chose, but its not big deal. thank you Kerry
