Unwanted "affiliate" from the usa

This is really strange,

 

I saw some internettraffic from this site:

http://www.fsdesigninc.com/

 

So I took a look at this site, and so I saw this text on their site:

When I click on this link it opens my website( 4dvisuals.com is just an domain i forwarded) in their homepage.

Pretending I have anything to do with them, and using my site to look interesting.

 

I already emailed the owner, but he doesn't respond.

What should I do with this?

 

Maybe this is a strange coincidence? afterall.

That IS bizarre!

 

If you do a whois search on their domain, it comes up with an address (I shan't post their address here, but it's easy to find). Maybe you could try sending them a letter? Then again, the website seems to have been first registered 8 years ago, and has another 8 years left to run, so it could well have been abandoned long ago (and they never changed their address if they moved!)

 

Is it possible that someone else owned your domain before you did, it expired, and then you picked it up? This website is indeed old, so it could well be that they did have an affiliation to whoever used to own your domain.

 

Ok, I just checked, and 5 people (including yourself) have owned that domain. Perhaps that is the answer? 4dvisuals is a fairly generic name, afterall.

Edit: More detective work suggests that both the owner of the old 4dvisuals website, and Kathy from fsdesign both are based (or at least went to college) in Michigan. I suspect that's who they were partnered with.

Hello Dan,

 

Thank you for looking in to this. I think you maybe wright that is a misunderstanding caused bij a coincidence.

I have this domain a year now, so it could be possible.

 

I removed the tags.

 

Still, When they abandon a site, it is better to delete everything on the ftp.

 

But maybe I can use this extra traffic!
