nelpiper
Hi guys. I have an animation of 10s long. I calculated the IR and LC and they're both set to "from file" mode. Let's suppose now I throw a new piece of geometry in the scene that wasn't present at the time the IR and LC were calculated. Will this geometry will pick up the GI from the already calculated LC and IR? If they're in "from file" mode, that means they're locked isn't it? Thanks. STRAT
you ideally need to generate fresh solutions. but different circumstances and scenes will give different results. do some test renders to look see.
Nic H
it will still get the direct light, just wont affect teh rest of the scene. depends on the object size and placement as to wether you can get away with it. just redo the GI, should take long at all on a 250 frame sequence
