ABK Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Hi everyone, I'm looking at creating a generic grass material I can use in 3DS Max and render using mental ray. I've created a grass texture and displacement map and am quite happy with the results. However, a bit of glitching is happening in the render. If you look at the attached images you'll see a 'patchwork' effect on the left hand side and similar on the right. I have used a standard material and the following displacement settings: edge length: 0.13 Max disp: 10 max subdiv: 16K Any advice from anyone who's encountered the same problems?
