raq007
Hi, Im working on a small workstation which is nearly completed. I did Test render n Ive got white big spots on my ceiling I don’t know why they appeared and also u can see left side of the pic there is box which I gave nice silver chrome material but after render ive got coarse grains on it. My Test render setting is down below: -- GI : Turn On Secendary Bounce : Light Cache -- Irradiance map Current preset : Very Low HSph. Subdivs: 20 Interp: samples: 20 -- Light Cache Subdivs: 200 -- Image sampler (Antialiasing) Image sampler: Adaptive DMC Antialiasing filter: Catmull-Rom --Adaptive DMC Image sampler Min subdivs: 1 Max subdivs: 4 Clr Thresh: 0.005 Use DMC sampler thresh (turn off) -- Color Mapping Linear multiply (default) Light : im using Vray Light (inside) and direct light (out side) Can some one tell me the reason? And suggest me what should I do? And how do I get really good image after final render.. Thanks!!
Andrew1
I think those are either your lights overbright or your reflective materials..., perhaps post a shot of wire frame.. well maybe not your lights sorry I haven't read the whole post, since you're only using 2 lights it must be reflection of your reflective materials as your render setting are so low, pump up your render settings a bit and rerender, see what happens. Cheers ! Edited November 9, 2009 by Andrew1
Nic H
dont use the very low preset for a start. 20/20 is far too low for much except very quick renders. 50/30, -6, -1 will be infinitely better. dont know why people use such shitty GI settings and the wonder why they have blotches and spots. GI calculates very fast in vray, its the raytracing stuff that takes the time. no excuse for blotches and blurry GI so turn it up for final renders! however - the spots could be from those super bright vray light material roof lights, or a standard / raytrace material in the scene, or a pure white roof possibly. don't try and light spaces using light materials - it requires super high settings to get a vaguely clean solution. alless
dude , make sure no light can get there by vray lights placed on ceiling .... block lights from those spots ... Also something like this happened to me when I imported Objects from 3DM file (Rhino file format) with Power nurbs plugin ..... if that\s true for you select object and Uncheck 2Sided Mesh .... also Check Force 2 Sided in Common render Settings .
