Buttman
I have a DWG file on elevations of the church and that a particular arched wall. (see photo) http://www.cgarchitect.com/forum/filepush.asp?file=DSC00842.JPG I have to produce a exbhition from DWG files, I have to add materials, textures, and colours - almost realistic looks, so any ideas how to present it? I have ADT 2004 and Photoshop 7.

Crazy Homeless Guy
there is the basic of rendering flat elevations in photoshop using texture fills, gradients, airbruch, ect.. then fake the shadows in to make it readable.
Buttman
How I do fake the shadows?
Fran
Hi Fraz, To fake shadows, create a layer in Photoshop and adjust the opacity. Then you can either paint the shadows or use a combination of Lasso and Marquee selections with the Fill tool. You can create custom fill patterns by sampling your photo sources. Buttman
Hi Fran, What do you suggest to fill some colours, textures, material in order to "exhibit" from the elevations of the church (DWG files)? Take a look at the photo. (see my first post's attachment).

Take a look at the photo. (see my first post's attachment). It is hard to say without seeing what your cad elevations look like. If you take the photos into Photoshop and select an area, you can create a pattern of it from the Edit menu. This might be better discussed in the Photoshop forum here. There may be those who are holding off commenting because this is in the wrong forum.
